Welcome to HealthMode

Welcome to HealthMode: Fitness for Free. By using our app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions of Use, intended to foster a supportive and law-abiding community. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our app.

User-Generated Content

You own the content you create, but by posting on HealthMode, you grant us a license to use, reproduce, and display that content in relation to the services we provide.

Progress Pictures

Users under the age of 18, may not, under any circumstances upload 'sensitive' images to their 'Progress Pictures'. While this data is encrypted at rest, during transit, and URLs are signed during retrieval, we at HealthMode want no part in facilitating production and/or the storing of sensitive content of minors.

Your privacy and data security are paramount to us. HealthMode uses industry-standard security measures to protect your information, which is detailed in our Privacy Policy

Our backend service uses Row Level Security (RLS) which protects queries from being run by unauthenticated and/or differently authenticated users. Because of this, the only person able to access, update, delete your personal data is you.

Please let us know if you believe your account has been hacked or compromised

We care about the security and wellbeing of our users and their accounts. While we work hard to protect the security of your personal data, user-generated content, and account, we cannot guarantee that malicious, unauthorized third parties will be unable to defeat our security measures, however strong and secure they may be.

Consequently, we shall not be held liable for any damages or losses that may arise from your use of or reliance on these third party services.

Our service purely aims to provide users with a tool to log and track their food, weight & other measurements, and workouts, with no official health or fitness advice being provided.

International Terms

If you are not a United States resident and you are accessing our Services from outside the United States, you agree to transfer certain information outside your location to us, and that you will follow all the laws that apply to you.

We provide HealthMode: Fitness for Free as a global platform for our community of users. While we welcome users from around the world, it's important to note that our servers and operational base are primarily located in the United States. Consequently, our practices are aligned mainly with United States law. Given this context, we need users located outside of the United States to be aware of the following conditions:

These Terms represent the complete understanding and agreement between you and HealthMode regarding your use of the services.

Rights and Obligations

HealthMode's omission to exercise or enforce any right or provision in these Terms does not waive our right to do so in the future. Should any provision of these Terms be deemed invalid by a competent court, both parties agree that the court should strive to honor the original intentions of the invalid provision, with all other Terms remaining effective and enforceable.

You are not permitted to assign, delegate, or transfer your account or obligations under these Terms without the express written approval of HealthMode. Conversely, HealthMode reserves the right to assign or transfer our rights under these Terms and to engage third-party contractors to assist in fulfilling our obligations to you.

Notices

Communications from HealthMode to you, whether via email, traditional mail, or through direct notifications or links within HealthMode, are deemed sufficient notice under these Terms. HealthMode is not liable for any failure on your part to receive notices if they are directed to your spam folder or if you have failed to keep your email address current. Email notices are considered delivered forty-eight hours after dispatch, and notices given through the HealthMode services are deemed received twenty-four hours after they are first posted.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of HealthMode after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
